The Institute for Financial Education is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial literacy by bringing educational resources directly to the public. We are committed to enriching our local communities through financial awareness.
We provide informational workshops to individuals, companies, and organizations on a variety of financial topics. The workshop content provides valuable financial information to empower people to grow in their understanding of their personal finances. Our workshops are taught by local volunteers with an expertise in financial topics.

Throughout his career he has been helping families plan for worry-free retirement.
In addition to over 16 years of client service, Tyler is active in the community and is happily married to Linda and has two beautiful daughters, Remi and Colette.

Andrew graduated with his Masters in Professional Accountancy from Illinois State University in 2009, and obtained his CPA designation shortly thereafter. He went on to work as an auditor for the State of Illinois and later for the corporate headquarters of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, all while maintaining a CPA consulting business.
In 2014 Andrew transitioned full time into the financial consulting business, helping not only individuals with tax and estate planning, but also spearheaded initiatives to incorporate financial education into the workplace. First by volunteering for, then co-founding an educational Non-profit, Andrew has traveled around the country being a keynote speaker to Fortune 500 companies, prestigious employer organizations, and even the Federal government, invited to speak by Federal Occupational Health EAP, the FDA, and Army Corps of Engineers to name a few. He has become the go-to planner for Federal Employees across the country and a significant resource for Federal Executive Boards across the country.
On the personal side, Andrew is husband to his beautiful wife Christine, and father to a 90 lb. Mastiff named Lyla. The Hall's embrace St. Louis, living in the city in order to support as many local events as possible, and volunteer at several organizations. If you don't catch him teaching a class at the Community College, library, or local business, you can find Andrew walking the dog or riding his bike around Forrest Park, at the Whitaker Music Festival at the Botanical Gardens, or hiking on trails along the Missouri River.

Following his academic and military service, Bernie turned his attention to the financial services industry in 1977, and has been educating people in this field ever since. He is committed to helping retirees stay on top of the options available to them to ensure a secure and comfortable retirement.
Bernie resides in Heyworth, IL with his wife Beth, to whom he has been married since 1981. He is also the proud father of two adult sons, Tyler and Brady, and grandfather to two granddaughters, Remi, Colette and Isla and a grandson, Henry.
Bernie is an educator for Heartland Community College, a Salvation Army board member, active member of both the American Legion and his local church, and a volunteer for the Bloomington/Normal YWCA.

Jimma has served in the Insurance and Financial Services Industry for over 16 years. Beginning her career at State Farm Insurance in 1988, she has worked in various areas of the Insurance Industry, and has a passion for education and encouraging positive change in the lives of our community.
She has partnered with many local organizations in the area to assist them in providing sound, financial information to their employees and continues to coordinate new efforts in promoting financial literacy as “a way of life.”
Jimma believes that the workshops she coordinates, through the IFE organization, have a tremendous impact on those who attend, by equipping them with the proper financial skills to manage their personal finances.
Jimma is a married mother of three sons, an active member of her church, and a participant in several mission opportunities.

He completed his Bachelors of Science in Marketing, while being a full-time student athlete, participating in football all four years. He graduated in 2015 from Normal Community West High School in Normal, IL, focusing on business related studies, playing football and baseball, and participating in a church basketball league.
Karson joins IFE as our college planning expert, with a fresh perspective on college costs. As a recent college graduate, he understands the importance of planning ahead in order to maximize college savings and conquer FAFSA and financial aid challenges.
Karson recently was appointed a CLTC designation. Becoming Certified in Long- Term Care brings a wealth of knowledge about the world of Long- Term care and how it has changed over the years and the best way to position you and your family to face a challenge ahead.
Karson has a huge passion for helping others, which is one of the main reasons he chose this career path. Whether dealing with the rising cost of college tuition or navigating a complicated financial-aid landscape, he will be there to assist.
